What is involved in placing implants?

Welcome to Frisbie Family DentistryAfter all of your information is collected and you have decided on an implant, we will send you to an oral surgeon to have the implant placed. The surgeon puts a titanium screw in your jaw and covers it up with your gum tissue. This needs about three months to heal. During this time you will have a retainer with a fake tooth on it to cover the implant space. After your jaw has healed, the oral surgeon will uncover the screw and put a button on top of it. You will then return to Dr. Frisbie's office, where we will take an impression and send it to the lab. Two weeks later, the crown is finished and can be glued in.
